YOU’RE MORE THAN A PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m looking for a female-identifying/non-binary photographer/filmmaker of any age to mentor in Tkaronto!

As many of you know, I was one of the first ever Sony Alpha Females; this means I was given tools, opportunities, and an incredible mentor (National Geographic photographer, Cristina Mittermeier) to help push me to the next level.

With all of that guidance, community and encouragement, I was able to finish my first-ever feature documentary, “Reckoning with the Wendigo.” I have had the chance to have my work reviewed by National Geographic photo editors, and will be delivering my first Nat Geo talk in November.

In other words, mentorship has made a huge difference in my life. It’s time for me to pay it forward with my own “More Than a Photographer Mentorship” in conjunction with Sony and Photographers Without Borders.

The “More Than a Photographer Mentorship” will start November, 2019 and will last 12 months. The mentorship will include an expenses-paid, joint exhibit alongside me in 2020, a free 1-year membership to Photographers Without Borders, as well as the guided completion of a separate project personal to the mentee. I will also assist in any way that I can to update the candidate’s website, social media and business plan according to my mentee’s goals. In exchange, the candidate must commit 5-10 hours/week to assist me with some of my personal and PWB workflow as part of the mentorship process. The candidate must be available in person Wednesdays 5-8pm EST and must reside in Toronto for the 12 months.
